Little River State Beach (Near Eureka, California)
Little River State Beach is a beach located in Humboldt County, California, 13 miles (20 km) north of Eureka. Getting there is convenient as it's right off US Route 101. It's a broad open beach that contains sand dunes. Clam Beach County Park is to the south, and Little River (where the beach got its name) is to the north. Clam Beach County Park provides day facilities and camping.
Among the most popular activities are swimming, whitewater paddling, golfing, hiking, boating, and fishing. Agate Beach Trail and Rim Trail are often used for hiking while Redwood Creek is often used for kayaking. Nearby the beach, visitors can pitch a tent and camp.
Little River State Beach features dunes and a broad open beach. The beach is bordered on the north by Little River and on the south by Clam Beach County Park which provides camping and day use facilities.
